_Blue_
Blue everywhere
Paint that lost its home
When the can
Met the floor
I watch
As people who know
The desperate one
Don't look twice
Slowly I ask
If help is wanted
And the llok of relief
Is not even hidden
Carefully two strangers
Work together
Mopping the floor
Like old friends
As we work
A simple smile
Tells me
Thanks me
A stranger's help I realize
Carries more meaning
Gives you more hope
In the world
Gradually
Others drift over
And the paint disappears
As quickly as the warmth grows
When all is clean
We nod goodbye
Go our separate ways
That once intertwined
Suddenly I see
Blue footprints
Appearing
In my wake
Carefully
I wipe away
All traces of the blue
On the floor
But nothing
Can ever wipe away
The traces of blue
On my soul
