Mirrors
Tick, tock, it's all an illusion
A cinder-block window, the root of confusion
Zombies by day, trained to ignore
Tick, tock, we stare at the door
Blink, blink, we look but can't see
Blind to the world, yet we're up to our knees
In our own reflection of chronic dismay
Blink, blink, we blink it away
Stop, stare, don't you dare budge
Hand us our mallets, we're ready to judge
And as verdict as shown, we cast our eyes down
Stop, stare, don't dare make a sound
Tick, tock
The clock stops
We shed our robes
And our mirrors drop
