I'm Human Too
I was told that I should have been born a “sistah”. Some people tell me I'm naturally black. But truthfully I think those comments are hella whack. It doesn't matter than I'm mixed, it doesn't matter who I "act". The most important thing is who I am inside. Inside, I have a heart that beats, and a heart that breaks. I have love to give and decisions to make. Just like you, I have a voice. Being mixed was not a choice, but I don't mind at all- because, just like you, in the end I breath, talk, and walk. I'm just like you.. I'm human too.
