Bedtime Snack
This poem is about hot chocolate and its
fantastic qualities on Earth.
I think of hot chocolate as a bedtime
snack to enjoy, also in the winter.
“Ah,”
Hot Chocolate
You are dripping down my throat
As an explosion of creamy chocolate
And soft marshmallows burst inside my mouth.
“Sip,”
My taste buds scream for joy as
the chocolate came flooding in.
When I sip some of you and stop
I lick my face then start to laugh.
I engulf the hot chocolate,
Next, are the marshmallows.
Marsh mallows,
puffy and white taste like
a light, fluffy cloud when
I bite into you.
Hot chocolate when sipped
tastes like it came pouring from the heavens above.
Oh, marshmallows, soft and fluffy, is so
squishy when you are squeezed.
Hot chocolate is the most delectable thing to have for a bedtime snack.
