Losing Wonderland MAG
My life reflected like a looking glass
A modern-day Alice ever falling, turning, spinning, learning
As society's royalty, in Abercrombie robes
Scream “Off with her head!”
Turning me black and blue like the fields
of talking flowers
Their whispers echo behind my back
“Such an odd flower. She's not one of us.”
A feline face with a Cheshire smile, perfection with claws
Down a rabbit hole into a world just like its people
Flawless beauty on the outside, but filled with dark and bad things
As a not-quite caterpillar asks the question on their lips, “Who are you?”
Mad as a hatter, poisoned by the secrets coursing in my veins
Curiouser and curiouser the story becomes
As a white rabbit, a messenger, tells me it's too late
The cards turn against me and the Queen gathers court
She decided my fate long ago, before even hearing my plea
Off with her head, blood like roses red
As the world turns upside down, I realize too late
I never got to see Wonderland
