Life Awaits
The rain beats
Upon my windowpane.
Love is lost;
It's for sure again.
Never have i felt
So lost, so dead.
"Life is gone"
Repeats in my head.
We loved, we laughed,
We fought, and cried.
Now it's all gone;
I wish it goodbye.
You broke your word,
Left tears in my eyes.
Forever was said;
I guess you lied.
I sit all alone.
Quiet, broke
weeping for words
rising like smoke.
For the past is gone,
And life awaits
To start a new chapter
To try a new date.
I will move on;
A new beginning nears.
For life is too great
To hide behind tears.
