Forever Lost
They say absence
Makes the heart grow fonder
Perhaps that's what I fear the most
The contingency that I’ll be longing for you more
As time slowly pulls us apart
Someday, perhaps, what we had
Will be fully strung back together
Together, the way it should be
And you and I can spend time
Hand in hand
Just you and me
They way we always dreamed
The hours of the day
The hours of the night
whittled away
By the bliss and contentment of our hearts
The giggles, the warm embraces
But I secretly wanted more.
Those delectable nights- why couldn’t I have been satisfied?
Time and time again
I still get lost in your eyes,
Maybe what I need
Is to be found
Now there’s nothing left
With nothing more than a
Pronounced wave of their hand’s,
Your gone
Gone from my presence, but not gone from my heart.
Separated but not competently
For you still hold the key to my heart
And I hold the lock to yours.
