An Old World
Moving forward was always such a difficult thing for me to do
I liked to cling to things you see, old meanings
and
old friends
But one day,
I woke up to find the tides of time washing me up on the shore of memories long past
It was my world, but it had crumbled away like limestone
weathered by the erosion of age
Broken things filled my world
I began to find no meaning in staying there any longer
and though I may have stepped off the shores of my past
now I drown in the ocean of reality, struggling to find meaning in my present
