what is it
but a bunch of dying flowers?
brown
dry
crumbling at the slightest touch
with not the delicate beauty
of their summer cousins
but with a rough fragility
reminding us that beauty comes
not only with soft petal
and sweet scent
but also in the dying breath
of a flower
