Internal Rebellion MAG
Not a day goes by without a question,
One of society's ignorant and futile laws;
Like Shakespeare's Gloucester, the public wanders aimlessly,
With no desire to question its freedom.
Life's meticulous and counterproductive rules have no end,
Like a thirteenth-century sailor's journey for the end of our world;
Fruitless aims to find logic in any facet of an ever-changing system,
Especially one that deems control a necessity.
Socialism, communism, democracy, fascism, it all matters not;
Each stresses conformity to society's doctrine.
Doctrine of what? Of life, principles, ethics, and all other indefinable concepts,
Individualism deemed improbable in a society stressing assimilation.
Answers seem to be nowhere and everywhere,
Society evolving, devolving,
Technology the catalyst for our evolution and our Armageddon,
A resolute constant will always be to question,
Like a newborn baby pondering every anomaly.
