decaying memories
are warping you
my words re-write your face
I etch your fading features
deep into my mind
some mis-drawn,
I'm sure
I can't cry for you
I left all my tears back
where I left our clasped fingers
frostbitten
frozen in the snow
frozen together
I must stop writing you
things that you will never read
it will make me mad,
I know
