Air-Force ONE
ME:
It’s Air-force one calling ;
They’re about to hit me.
Should I come back in?
Co-pilot, can you hear me?
I need you here,
The plane is starting to spin.
HIM:
I’m here, don’t worry
I’m by your side
You’re not going anywhere.
Don’t worry, our plane won’t crash
Whatever happens to you now
I promise I’ll be there.
ME:
Co-pilot, I wanna believe you
Truly I do,
But can’t you see?
If they shoot once, the plane will crash
And we’re over; done
And then we’ll never be.
HIM:
You’d be right, of course, in any other case
But for now listen,
Cause it’s true.
Even if we start to fall
At 200 miles per hour
I would never leave you.
ME:
I’ve been talking about the plane
But all you seem to talk about
Is us.
I’m starting to think that
I’m going insane;
This is making me delirious.
HIM:
Honey, listen
I understand
What we’re going through
But I want you to know this;
If we are to die in a matter of seconds
I want my last thought to be of you.
