Ode to Life
There are times in life you want to give up.
Who keeps you going?
Your peers, your teachers?
You hear the never-ending encouragement,
To never give up.
Feeling the pain,
It hurts.
To know that your life or your loved ones is going to end
It hurts badly,
More than we’ll ever experience.
Those people don’t want to give up,
They keep fighting to the end.
They will explore wonderful experiences,
As death is close running with them making them slower,
They keep the race going.
When they know death is at their side,
They fight like warriors.
That disease or sickness,
Slows them down but their always trying to keep up.
Their peers or teachers and friends keep telling them never give up,
And they never will until the end.
You know they never give up and they fight,
Like champions.
When you want to give up,
Just remember,
They will never give up.
