Strange Heart
I apologize for my heart,
That aches for life,
That does not see black and white,
Only the rainbow.
What a silly heart,
That dreams when it’s awake,
Who worries little about money,
Or the worthless chatter that floats by the ear.
It is a funny heart indeed,
With no thirst for reality,
No need for tomorrow,
And no desire for approval.
Yes it is a strange heart,
Filled with romantic ideas,
Passionate about living,
Emotionally content with itself.
When the heart aches, it aches for love,
Not money or power or fame,
Those are illusions of the mind,
So set your heart free from it and let it beat to its own pace.
