My opposite
November 15, 2010
The girl inside me wears short skirts,
She’s afraid of bugs
And eats nothing but salad.
The girl inside me hates spiders,
She lives in New Amsterdam.
And loves to play softball.
The girl inside me sings pop songs all day.
The girl inside me collects snow globes,
And looks just like the girly girl you’d expect a girl to be.
The girl inside me loves her friends and family.
She is waiting for her prince charming,
And hopes to make the cut for the play.
And sometimes when no one is looking the girl inside me comes alive.

This poem must be really special to you. I think there's a lot inside all of us others don't see. I would suggest talking about the girl on the outside to make this poem even better, and to help the reader understand a little better what you are trying to say. Keep writing!
