Empty Buckets
you fill me with words
words that bubble
and boil
and froth
and spill out my eyes
finally
I cry about everything
I didn't, you know
cry
for years
I couldn't
I tried
but then
I was full
my bucket
full of words
full of tears
and then they all tipped over
and spilled out
onto the floor
into the air
onto the clean, white page
mixing together
she loves you too,
you know
I know it
I wonder
who she loves more
me
or you
I hope it's me
because if it's not
I will have neither of you
and I will remain empty
of all my words
and tears
go and fill each others'
buckets up
mine will dust
and dry
