What Do I Do?
Butterflies in my tummy;
Heartbeat faster, faster;
There he is.
What do I do?
What do I say?
Maybe do the Macarena;
Maybe sing Baby One More Time;
Maybe do some pushups;
Or bake an apple pie.
As my mind searches for things to hide my tension,
Your shy gaze of your golden eyes stops on me.
And you smile.
Your smile fills all voids;
Your smile floats through my head.
Your smile replenishes all that was lost.
Oh, no, please tell me I’m not losing my mind
Over another adolescent specie of male
Over his sweet subtle smile;
Over his shy golden eyes that twinkle in the light;
Over his warm gentle hugs that surround my body in
A feeling so strong,
The word to describe it is not invented yet.
Oh, no, there we go again. . .
