Hopes sink
As petals pink
Fall from the rose
Monsters sigh
And babies cry
As tall doors close
Green stem
Is left them
Without a doubt
Hope is dead
Filled with dread
Don’t scream and shout
Lest nightmares wake,
Your soul to take,
Far far below
Where demons sleep,
Your soul to keep,
Fear and hatred sown
In inky black
Body slack
A puppet you become
Black eyes
And muffled cries
No more someone
