Alone in My Mind
I press my forehead against the cold glass
The snow falls outside
I blink my eyes
The snow falls
A tear wells up
I’m alone in this world—the world of my mind
The snow settles on the dead branch of the lilac
I shiver
I feel sad
Devastated
And I don’t know why
I’m all alone in my mind without the sun to brighten it up
Why can’t I find the joy in myself that I do in the summer
Why does the cold snow make be cry
Why am I alone in the winter
The snow falls
And settles over everything
The snow falls
Falls
Falls
