Negative Simile
He’s like nothing I’ve ever seen.
He’s not unattractive like Danny De Vito
Nor smoldering like Johnny Depp.
He’s not nerdy like Erkle
Nor a slacker like Jordan Catalano.
He’s not snobby like Donald Trump
But he’s not humble like Michael C. Hall either.
He’s not a troublemaker like James Dean
Nor a perfect child like Rory Gilmore.
He’s not shy like Thomas Edison.
He’s not insane like Tim Burton.
Talking to him isn’t bland like oatmeal.
His advice isn’t pointless like rain boots on a sunny day.
He doesn’t make me sad, like rain does on the fourth of July.
He doesn’t make me feel lonely like watching reuniting friends all around me.
He never says the wrong thing like so many others do.
He never leaves me hanging like the unreliable friend.
He doesn’t judge like Simon Cowell.
He doesn’t lie to please like Paul Abdul.
He doesn’t love me like my little brother.
He doesn’t have to talk to me like an unwilling lab partner.
But he does.
He’s my friend.
And he’s like nothing I’ve ever seen
