Endless nights and days,
hidden amongst hues of darkness
blanketed in blackness,
bountiful misery running free,
helplessly drowning in puddles of mourning
laying amongst towers of desolation,
shuddering from wisps of agony,
comfort only in deafening silence,
bail from my harsh persecutors
visible as phantoms
tangible as steam,
they run through my head,
my dreary dreams , haunting memories, baseless worries…
forever bonded,
these clasps of iron
quite imprisoning,
constantly struggling to break free
yet never escaping,
Oh, wretched mind of mine,
when shall you smile.
