A Wild Dream
Last night I had a dream
That was quite wild
I dreamt of you and me
And of our child
Living in a world where
People were good and kind
A world that exists
But only in my mind
Last night I had a dream
That was quite wild
Of a world where all
People laughed and smiled
For there was no such thing
As this thing called war
Yet I opened my eyes
To find it there no more
Last night I had a dream
That was quite wild
And as I walked the streets
I knew that all the while
I really was living in
A land of nothing but lies
Yet somehow I wished
I didn't have to open my eyes
