Into The Black Abyss
You don't know what you want
and it's causing us to part.
You know me better than I know myself.
You are breaking my fragile heart.
I don't know how to say I'm sorry
and I don't know how to fix this.
The more I try, the more I fail
falling deeper into a black abyss.
I'm not allowed to love you
because you are my best friend.
You said you'd always be here
but my gut tells me it was just pretend.
For the hundreth time in my life,
someone has taken me for granted.
I tried my best to help you.
Now we're both in a direction so slanted.
You say I've changed you
and for some reason you hate it.
I feel like I've been slapped in the face
and I'm on an everlasting guilt trip.
When I see you walking,
there is no expression on your face.
Something is missing from your soul,
something that I can't replace.
It's like I no longer exist to you.
I'm just a mere acquaintance.
Our memories are maybe destined,
but our feelings are just a big coincidence.
