Watched
You follow me in the darkness, you know where I am in the day.
You lie and keep me paranoid, just wishing you would go away.
You control me in ways I can't understand.
I feel like a puppet on strings being led by your hand.
The fear and hurt I hold inside makes me wish I had a place to hide.
Is there any place where you can't see?
Where I won't feel like your watching me?
You can keep yourself hidden from everyone.
So, your always watching, but on the run.
You have to run and you also have to hide from everything on the outside.
You think they can't hurt you in your own imagined place, but everything's distorted until you can't even recognize your own face.
You scare me and anger me, but this might not have to be.
I think you're just as scared and that you think you can't trust God to set you free.
