It is only through knowledge
That we slay the dragons
Our swords and axes
Only strengthen them
They breathe their fire
Onto our heads
Destroying everything
We work towards
Devouring it
And wanting only more
Forever ravenous
For destruction

To be able to say "I love you" one must first be able to say "I" - Ayn Rand

I don't know what it is about this poem, but I keep coming back to it, and somehow I always love it a little more with each read. Wonderful!

Wow.  VERY vivid, I love the flow, it's very short and precise.  Your word choice seems to fit very well in this poem, and I like the over-all meaning. Five stars.
