Sorrow
I roam like a caged lion
Unable to find escape
The pit of darkness devours me
Swallowing my bones
My friends have abandoned me
Finding their way home
The whips crack my back
And the thunder strikes my head
There's no where to flee
I succumb to the darkness surrounding me
This blackness has a name
It answers to sorrow
And can never be tamed
But when I remember happiness
The shackles fall away
And I'm free for another day
