Ghost
There's a girl.
A girl you know.
But now she's just a ghost.
A ghost to you.
Everywhere you look.
Everything reminds you of her.
A constant reminder of what she used to be.
She's not that girl anymore. She's not happy go-lucky.
She's an empty shell of her old life.
She was torn apart by this town, by you.
And you just can't forget.
Forget her smile, which you see so rarely now.
They way she laughed.
How her nosed crinkled when she did.
That's all a memory now.
She used to be happy.
She used to have fun.
She loved hanging out with people.
What happened to her?
People happened.
People got to her. She couldn't take it.
Everyone was pulling her in every direction.
She couldn't take the stress.
The stress of making people happy.
When she couldn't be happy herself.
The stress of trying to do everything at once.
Just the over whelming stress of life.
You miss that girl.
You long for another chance, to make it better.
But the scary thing is.
That girl is me.
