Devastated!
Sitting down with my head in hands,
I think of past and present to end,
Things have never been the way I want,
and I feel like stepping back...running away!
The clouds thunder--the fear looms,
...'cause I find myself all devastated.
My head aches, the lightening strikes,
tearing the dark sky it falls,
I stand and look out the window,
killing silence and no creature to see,
it seems horrible--my tears trickle,
...'cause I find myself all devastated.
I clean pearly drops from my cheeks,
and drink some cold water for ease,
the sky roars with violet shades,
I close my eyes with clenched fists,
I pray in heart--my emotions fled,
...'cause I find myself all devastated.
The rain pours and thunders befall,
roars magnify and I feel alone,
finding all this happen outside,
I lay on bed and shrink my legs,
It all went on--and I couldn't sleep,
...'cause I find myself all devastated.
The rooster cries and I wake up at 4.00,
Looking around, I find grave silence,
Gathering my senses, I lift myself up...
and walk to the window, peeking out,
Still disheartened--I look outside,
...'cause I find myself all devastated.
What I see is a different world,
the roars had stopped and green was greener,
I'm amazed with the fresh, new scenario...
seeing seven colors of splendid rainbow,
Appears on my face--a broad smile,
...'cause I don't find myself devastated anymore!
I hear the birds chirp, see the clear sky,
and go outside for my soul's joy,
things never remain the same they are,
after darker nights, shines brighter sun,
I jog around--live a new life,
...'cause I don't find myself devastated at all!
