Futility
Her darkness and her misery cloud
An angel's vision --
She's all alone
Or so she thinks
Or so she thinks
She prays to a God
She doesn't believe exists
She's dying to live
And living to die
She's trapped in a
Nightmare that reaches
With fingers like shadows
Toward her peace
Dark angel with crimson satin
Wings spread
Soars among her kingdom of
Memories
Any move to resurrect her happiness
Might result in more pain
But me -- Imm here now, trying to
Be a shooting star in a land
Of all that's dark
I may be faling,
I may be winning
I guess I'll just have to
Wait and see.
