Trigger of My Figurative Gun
Triggers everywhere,
They’re all around me.
I am being consumed,
Enveloped, engulfed by the horrors around me;
The darkness overwhelms me;
I am falling through blackness,
Shadows around me, souls surround me;
My mind races;
My gut squirms and tightens;
Bad feelings, perilous thoughts;
Don’t know where to turn;
Completely constricted, silently suffocated;
Coils around my lungs tightening with your every word,
Your every breath;
You are the trigger of my figurative gun
And because of you, the two become one.
