Day and Night
My eyelids drown,
in tiredness sleep,
As I slowly lay down,
I don't make a peep.
My head hits the pillow,
my room turnes still,
my hair cascades like a willow,
I fall alseep against my will.
My dreams fill my head,
the sky a cloudless blue,
I lay still looking dead,
My dreams clouded with morning dew.
I will not wake,
until the sun hits my face,
what a wonderful morning it will make,
spider webs dewed, spun like lace.
The first sight of the rising sun,
the birds begin to cheep,
signalling the day has begun,
and it's time to awake from sleep.
