In life, it is inevitable that we be challenged. Being defeated is, however, optional.

It’s August,
I love the look of every beautiful forest,
Vivid colours spread all over the place,
This amazing sight could brighten up anyone’s face.

As I walk through the display of different coloured trees,
I begin to feel the slightest breeze,
It’s refreshing compared to the scorching heat,
And as I walk, I hear the crackle of dry leaves under my feet.

The breeze grows stronger,
Some leaves won’t stay on their branches for much longer,
I hear someone whistle and I freeze,
But then I realise that it’s only the wind in the trees.

The howling of the wind fills the air,
Trees are swaying violently and I start to despair,
What if a tree falls down?
What if I am underneath it when it hits the ground?

The wind eventually dies down,
A lot of leaves are spread across the ground,
I look around and all the trees are bare,
At this picturesque sight, I just have to stare.

I take a camera out of my pocket,
Put my finger on the button and click it,
I hear someone whistle and I freeze,
But then I remember that it’s only the wind in the trees.
