Leaving marks on the ground as I walk
My eyes catch the salt water splashing towards me
I am soon caught by the sight of the blue
Washing over my footprints behind me
Leaving the shore looking as though

As the bright blue sky begins to dim
And the sun begins to deflate into nothing
Giving way to another light

The beginning of high tide
I slowly make my way up to my feet
And gather my things
Leaving the place I loved so well
I take one look back and see the imprint I left
On the shore
As the water finally makes its way up
And washes it away
I wish it was that easy...
