searching for hope
among dead remains,
I find you.
hiding from reality,
you sit with your
head down.
daydreaming
of better days to come.
waiting, wishing.
all this wonder,
insistent addiction,
curiosity consumes.
concealed by the
nearest tombstone,
I watch.
emotionless features
lay sprawled
across your face.
perched atop a
recently hollowed grave,
feet dangling within,
I see me.
stone cold statue,
i stare.
