I talked to God today
I asked him if you were okay
He held my hands and told me
That you were doing fine

I asked him if you miss me
He said you miss me heaps
He also said that you'll be watching over me
Even while i sleep

I asked him if you think of me
With tears welling in my eyes
He replied with "Yes he does"
As i started to cry

He dropped his head in silence
And lifted one hand with grace
Carefully and gently wiping away
The tears flowing down my face

I asked him if i could see you
He looked at me and smiled
He said "one day, one day, my dear child"

So i said please tell him that i love him
And that i miss him to

With that i handed God a photo
Of my best friend and me
He took this photo in his hands
And smiled so perfectly
As he said
"I'll give this photo to your dearest friend
And tell him what you said"

Thank you i said politely again beginning to cry
As he knelt down by my side
To whisper his goodbyes.
