Phantasmal
Empty, you beckon me, with vile heartstrings ripped
Your claw so black and beaten, i touch to my lips
A poison deep shall send me reeling, sweeting, bleeding my sweet life
Over the ground, covered in the ribbons of a bitter demise.
You're tall and overpower my senses
And you're bleeding just to cloak me in dimensions
Of my empty-headed lies, to cover my surprise
To remove the costumewear and let me see the skies
For out of clothes, i look much softer
And in the dark, i look much older
I barely glisten as i step
Out of my own body's wreck
A broken being, so plumped and squeezed
For all the world's devouring
That i can't recognize myself
But you have stolen back my shell
And made me walk for just a moment
A moment that made me want to own it.
