A Four Letter Word I Said I'd Never Use
My soul is the night
And your eyes are the stars.
And in the day your relentless love
Is the light that breaks through
The over-casting shadows.
Your touch is my summer day
When the world beyond the window
Is isolated in winter's frost.
Do you see why I can't let go?
I'm too comfortable with the warmth
And afraid for my light
to fade.
The darkness is always waiting
But I know I'm too strong
To be enveloped in its grasp,
if you're there to hold me
What once seemed hopeless,
Now has a silver lining.
Your smile is the one thing
That melts away my hate.
And your presence in my life everyday
Is what makes me happy
to wake up each morning
Words can't possibly
do my love justice.
Because "I love you"
Just isn't enough.
Some have puppy love,
But not us.
We've been through too much
for such small words

Your final stanza is not weak. In fact, it manifests the simple idea that love eventually evolves so that it no longer needs the extravagances of falling in love. When it is delved into, simplicity becomes the root of satisfaction.
Brilliant work. I caught it even without your note. You never disappoing me.
