Monsters
If the dawn is approaching,
Don't lie to my senses
Show me a break in the shadow of night
That's always accompanied
By killers of wishes.
Salvage this blackness
Where my heart once thrived,
Or take me away for the final time
Console my sorrow
or hide me away
until my life takes a turn
from the light of day.
Blind me,
So I can't look in the mirror
And watch mself fade.
I'm losing myself more each day.
How long has it been,
Since I laughed with you?
Since it was to light I would contribute?
I want to cry
I want to screm
I want to make this all a dream.
My nightmares won't let me sleep,
And in the day
My eyes only weep.
Through the night these monsers creep
Then drag me with them,
To forever reap...
For souls like mine.
