Thirteen-Year-Old To The World
My life's a wobbly roller coaster.
There's the twists and turns,
the ups and downs,
and always the anticipation
of the next plummet.
It may seem
like we're having the most fun,
but it's harder than it looks.
Every loss, every painful reminder,
is like taking away a piece
of my already-unstable ride.
A whisper of wind,
a purposeful shove,
and everything
will come crashing down.
