All I Can Do
Every day of my life
Just another battle
Another fight
Another unbearable task to face
So all I can do is write
On those late nights
The thoughts flow
The wind sometimes blowing them away
Into the haze
Of the deep dark nights
The nights where I stay awake
Into the late
There’s no time to wait
The words come now
With a burst and sudden pow
Spilling openly from my mouth
Onto paper
The writing builds me up
Takes me down
It helps
Take away the memories
Of those terrible times
In the darkness
