Up In Flames
Time is passing by
Sucking the soul drenched marrow from my bones,
Leaving me dry and brittle
Left only with my poetry saturated fingers
And images of you left behind my eyelids.
I try so hard to build myself up,
Concrete walls and rows of bricks,
But I am always so
F R A G I L E
And when you collided with me
Like a beautiful runaway train
I shattered into a thousand fragments of
Glittering and broken dust,
Wondering
How it is possible to love so hard and so fast
And not go up in flames?
