Well, it's true that I need you
and it's true that you're my light
and it's true that you're the one
I think about at night
Well, what isn't true, my dear
is that I tell you all.
I keep my secrets divvied up
so there's never far to fall.
Well, it's true that I love you
and I trust you more than me
and it sure is true that without you
there wouldn't be much to see.
But what isn't true, my love,
is that you know who I am.
I invest my hardships equally
so there's always a place to land.
