The War
The War has begun
Love vs. Hate and Sorrow
I am trapped with nowhere to run
Caught in the center of a high school battle
My pain prevents my tears from drowning me
They stay dry and staring at nothing
This emptiness stabs my soul
Stops Strength from coming
Strength is always there
Though I thought the same of them too
Love, Hate and Sorrow
They keep me broken though I can’t help but love them
Strength stands on the outside
She knows Love, Hate and Sorrow
I wait for her to rescue me
But my emptiness holds my silence prisoner
Strength, Love, Hate and Sorrow will never know this
They won’t because I can’t speak, I can’t tell
I stay silent just watching them
But what they can’t see, is my heart breaking
“Everything gets better with practice”
Yes I know
My acting skills improve by the second
And they won’t ever know
