Musical Poetry
When you read a poem
let the words flow around you
like music
lazily floating through the air
you listen to it
and it’s over soon
and you feel like you didn’t remember it
but later
you hear the melody in your head,
A memory.
you didn’t forget
you never forget
listen to the music in poetry
feel its beat,
Its rhythm.
the lyrical words wrapping around,
a poem is its own story,
where the words are different
where the beat is different
in a way where it sounds like music
poetry is music
listen to the words
concentrate on it
the mystery of it
how it sounds and how it feels
poems are different than the storybook
poems have different feeling and passion in it
in poems you can have a harmony and melody
fitting together just fine
yet even so, some poems don’t have this
lacking the beauty and skill
fitting together only by rhyme
lacking the passion that makes a poem a poem
other poems, on the other hand,
are written as sentences and paragraphs
and a poem is not prose
not that at all
it makes them unique
that is what makes it a poem
this is what makes the writers spell-weavers
the magic of how the words fit in,
piece by piece
and all sounding wonderful
like music,
like watching clouds go by,
a simple moment of nature,
frozen in time
and appreciated forever
anything can be a poem,
anything simple and calm
it does not have to rhyme
or be this way
the only requirement for a poem
is that it comes from
The imagination
and that it boldly steps through
Anything
to prove itself in the world.

Cross me, and the protagonist dies. ...Then again, they probably will anyway.
