To Late To Love
The smell of your hair,
the sound of your voice,
the color in your eyes,
and the love in your heart.
Those are the things
I remember of you.
The way you understand me,
how you’d comfort me,
and made me feel,
I remember.
You loved me the way a mother loved her child,
but I didn’t know.
I loved you the way you wanted to.
We both didn’t know.
Until those love letters fell out
after all those years.
I found out it was you
but it’s to late now.
I can’t have you
and you can’t have me.

Really good job. You have a lot of emotion in your words. It really speaks to the reader's hearts in some intangible way. I really liked this. I'm not quite sure what is going on here, but don't tell me. Because I like that about this. You can put to your own experiences. Well done.
Check out my work sometime? I'd really appreciate it.
