That Girl
The hall was crammed with kids
Walking to their classes
Teachers were getting their lessons
All in a neat pile
Voices were heard over the bell
Gossiping, gossiping, talking too
Although much joy was in the school
There was one girl, second floor
Using ASL with a friend
There is a problem you can't see
Within the girl's broken heart
She wouldn't let it out
I tried so hard, I really did
Her trust I didn't have
But me I'm stubborn
And not give up
She did push right back
But yes I did stand right there
As a faithful friend
If only one thing she knew
How I care for her
Maybe she would trust me more
But it ain't a fairytale
