Inferred
Inferred
This is not what we were made to do
This is not why we are here
This is not how we should live our lives
Nor the rules we should adhere
These are not the feelings we were made to feel
These are not the thoughts we should think
These are not the sights we ought to see
Not in this world made shackle by link
We see poverty through a glass lens
We see tears and pain and nobody to help
The eyes see only the arms, in fur- Inferred
Eyes see only the hands and nobody to help
People shake cans and it sounds like you
Plugs in your head “imagine there’s no heaven”
The eyes see the man and see nobody to help
He doesn’t see you. No, he doesn’t see you
And in life you’ll realise, you cannot live
And in life maybe one day you’ll know
That you could now be living in heaven
If you had only realised not that long ago.
