Water angles
The sound of rain
Pounding against the windows
As the lightning cracks
My heart stops
It calms
Comes back to it’s natural rhythm
My mind spins
Trying to figure out which direction it’s coming from
Anxious to open this wooden door
To feel the wet rain
Stick out my tongue
Finally taste the real water
I’ll bring you with me
Hold your hand so you don’t get scared
Lets dance in the rain
Lets listen for the angles
Their all around
They’re watching
Smiling
Close your rain
We’re exposed
We are open
We are free
This rain
It has no end
The sound a steady beat
Pounding against our minds
As the lightning cracks
As go our shells
Listen
We’re dancing with
Water angels
