From Out Of The Gloom
I found myself in a dark empty room,
-The doors sealed and the curtains drawn-
trembling in the corner with a broken bulb,
That was casting shadows on the wall.
Each of the windows had their own face,
through the wooden boards they’d speak.
Each one had warned her not to stay,
And made it so that she couldn’t leave.
Every single night was a restless night,
For the figures lurking in the gloom.
Some of the floor tiles would awake,
And silently creep across the room.
For her this had become too much,
She needed someone with whom to talk.
Her and I had become really close,
By means of a mirror on the wall.
While she helped me reconcile with myself,
I helped her recover from her mental fall.
So she honored me with a broken light,
That was casting shadows on the wall.
