The Pain of a Child
Today a girl was killed from abuse
Today a boy died from starvation
Tomorrow it will start over again
A kid hopeless
no one cares about a child
Today a girl was rapped and will become an outcast
Today a boy rapped a girl and got away
Tomorrow the cycle will start over again
Today someone will die in a car wreck by a drunk driver
who only walks away with a few minor cuts and bruises
Today someone will be discriminated against
Tomorrow it will happen again
Today a relationship will be crushed
Today a marriage will be destroyed by an affair
Tomorrow this cycle restarts
But why
Why cant we stop the cycle of
rape
death
and divorce that tears family's
apart
i will tell you why
because no one rewards the good
The good people hide
while the bad comes out to play
while the rich try to become richer
they only try to get rid of the bad people not bad acts
but when there is nothing to gain
they take advantage of
A Child
That is lonely
that looks for a friend only to find an enemy
but today they say everything is going to change
no it isn't noting will
the rich will find new ways to bend the rules
the rapist finds new tactics
and the abuser will find another child
While the child stands hopeless

ah...true. Children are disadvantaged in that area. I must differ with the idea that no one cares/nothing changes. Change is inevitable and for every depraved one, there is another who has reconsidered, who has remembered, and who has turned away from his/her past.
Even so, your poem has a lot of passion and it is clear to see that you are deeply affected by the effect of society's failures on varying groups of individuals.
